The Gastric Bypass Community

A group of folks living and learning about weight loss surgery.

Wow! This isn't what I expected at all. My c-section for my twins seemed to be a breeze compared to this. I'm in constant pain, and sleeping on a 2 person love seat isn't cutting the comfy level. I seem to be okay with the liquid every 15 min., however, I find it hard to manage to work in the next level of the diet. From the two week pre-op diet, my tastes buds have gotten dull, so I'm working on baby food. Seems as if it takes forever to swallow some food in my system - and yet the smells of other foods are making me sooo hungry. I still have yet to really get up and walk, and haven't had a BM. I do not want any complications, so hopefully within the next day I can manage to work both of them out (no pun intended). My family is very supportive so far. My children are constantly demanding my attention, and the twins do not understand why mommy can not pick them up, then hold them as she used to do. The upside, I lost 20lbs pre-op, and 5lbs post-op so far. I really hope my energy picks up, as I really want to work at this loosing this "baby" weight that I can't lose. My goal is to be up and walking well before the July 4th weekend, as my oldest will be 9 - hence celebrating with a big birthday party. In the mean time, I'm trying to take it day by day, as it is given to me. Just praying that it gets easier by the next day.
