What's your current situation as far as weight loss surgery?

I am 24 years old and currently attending pre-surgery classes at Kaiser Perm,anente in Los Angeles. I am 90% sure that I want to have the surgery done but am trying to learn as much as I can about the positive and negative effects. Losing my 10%!!

I have about 7 weeks until the end of class and I am struggling to lose my weight. So far, I think that I have lost 3 pounds, after I went on the partial liquid diet. That was about 3 weeks ago and I seriously doubt that I have lost any more, not to mention maintained. I have not been sticking to my shakes and have been eating out A LOT. I have not weighed in at the past 2 classes, but I will tomorrow so I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers...

At 7:54pm on April 2, 2009, GINA said…: hello, if you stick with the shakes, i had to start 2 weeks before my surgery and i lost 15lbs in 2 weeks. it helps alot........ i am down 65 lbs since my surgery on 1/8/09 (the best thing i could have ever done for myself) if this is was what ypu want go for it. good luck with everything.
