- Good luck with your surgery Missy. I am excited for you. Try not to worry too much before the surgery. I was with my sister in December when she had her gastric bypass and I was amazed at how well everything went. The first three days were rough for her but on the fourth day we went shopping for 3 hours. She has just started eating regular food and has not had any difficulty. The bonus is that she is down 41 LBS. Just remember that it is all going to be worth it! You are going to have a whole new lease on life.

John said… - The two week diet sucks. BUt I started mine on January 1, 2009 and to this date I have lost 38lbs. To me the gas pains I had after surgery was the worst part. You do alot of walking in hospital to get rid of it though. I am pleased so far with mine. I think of summer when I won't be ashamed to go swimming around my own family. Also my diabetes is gone and my blood pressure has normal out. I wish you the best of luck and if you need anything let me know I will be there for you. Stay safe.

Nervous!!
I'm scheduled to have Gastric Bypass on Feb. 11th!! I have studied all about this surgery for many months but now that's it's come down to having it-I'm very nervous and just trying to make it on this 2 week diet crap!!!
