Brad, thanks for the candidly honest blog about your experience with GB. I think one thing the newbies could learn is...you can gain weight back. and it's not too hard. I haven't gained, but certainly haven't lost in a WHILE. anyway, kudos to you fo…

Hi Jerri.... Thank you for the comment! I am feeling so much better. This last surgery they did October 8th went great. They finally fixed the problems and I am eating now almost like a normal human again. haha.... well small portions but you know what I mean.... just being able to eat and drink without feeling sick is a huge plus.... I should be back to work on Nov 17th... finally and I am ready to get back. Now that I'm feeling pretty decent again I'm bored and wanting to get back to my normal life.
How are you doing? Write me back and let me know how things are going.

Hi, Jerri
I am only five feet. I wish I could have been a little taller but I am okay with it. I have a trainer at Elmwood fitness center. I participated in the biggest loser program there and I lost 7 pound in 11 weeks. If you would like I can try and scan my work out sheets to you. Also, the ball is good to work the mid area. I have alot of skin there so I am lifting weights twice a week. 45 mins, five to six days of cardio will help alot. Now I am walking 4 miles 4 days a week and going to the gym five to six days at night. Hopefully I lost some more weight. I do not weigh myself . I do not like scales. I see a little difference in my jeans.

Correction on last comment.
People who are short and overweight have a harder time with losing weight with the surgery according to stats.

Hi, Jerri
You look really good before and after. I notice that my weight started slowing down around 9 months after surgery. What makes it hard is that you can start eating what you want in small amounts. I am still trying to lose weight (50 pounds). Sometimes I will go back to my atkins drinks for a few days to retrain my myself. I feel as if this weight loss thing is mental. The surgery helped me alot because I was losing my vision from Pseudotumor Cerebri ( false tumor on the brain). Now when I see my doctor he tells me that my weight is not moving fast enough. Then he turns around to tell me that stats show that people who are over weight that get the surgery have a harder time with loss weight. At first I was very upset then I realize I lost 100 pound and I feel really good. I can do so much now. I am some what happy with my self I feel as if I need to continue to work on my weight.(sorry for venting). I thought about developing a support group here in New Orleans for people who had the surgery and is having a hard time with losing more weight. I am really into fitness. Do you workout?

Thanks Jerri! I'm trying so hard to stay positive. My Doctors are all stumped as to why all these things happened to me, but I can't dwell on the "why", I just have to push on through! I am naturally a strong woman - in every sense of the word, so I just need to keep reminding myself of that!
Thanks,
Elena

depression-help

i am just in a really bad place now. i have lost 115lbs over a year and a half...actually just a year, because i haven't lost a damn pound in 5 or 6 months. The reason i am depressed, is that it is all self inflicted. I can't believe I went through everything and still haven't achieved my goal weight. I feel like a complete and utter failure.....just like always. i don't really know what i'm looking for....i have a wonderful, supportive husband, i have a great job...an essentially good life, but… Continue
