Hi Jean, you look so good! I hope I can lose fast once I get my surgery. I am waiting now to see if my ins. will approve gastric bypass. I am 56, almost 57 and was going for the lapband but dr. said I wouldn't lose all I need to with that. Hope to hear from you!

Jean, Hang in there. Maybe being able to tolerate sweets is not a good thing for you. If you feel your weight loss is going to slow try keeping a journal of everything you eat and all the exercise you do. show it to your doctor and the nutritionist and see if you need to make changes. You are looking great. I'm having my surgery 1/27/09.

About Me:
Hiya!
I will be one year post op May 21st~ YAY "Happy Surgi-versary" to ME!
I was 290 pounds on the morning of my surgery, and am now 215. Like I have stated before, my weight loss is slow~My all time highest was 328 pounds...I'll take credit for every pound lost,,,in all~113!!~
I am going to get back to basics now that spring is here, Cleaning out my closets today...things have "crept " back into my life,,,I can tolerate all foods once again, smaller quantities, but the sugars are baaaaaaack...as well as the alcohol....time for me to step back and take charge once again...this si a lifetime battle, no mater what surgery you have~ its a tool, not an end all :)

I think my weight loss is so slow...I am really getting bummed by this.. I used to keep a log of everything I ate..calories/fat/protein/carbs...and my weight will not move. It seemd that it takes me a month to lose 2 pounds!!! My dr said for me to get back to my liquids ..the first 2 weeks post op...but thats almost too much to bear since now I can eat anything....… Continue
