Back Pain!!!!!

Hi, my name is Gina and I am 2 weeks post-op and I have alot of left back pain. I was wondering If anyone else has ever had this pain post op? I can not sit or stand for long. Its driving me crazy. I was also wondering is it normal not to feel full when your still on the liquid diet? I am on liquids until my third week post-op. I am drinking water, jello, my shakes, soups and so on and when I have my 3 ozs I dont really feel full. Could I have streched my pouch out or am I nuts? HELP.

THE 2 WEEK DIET...........

Help!!!!!!!! when I read everyones blogs, they are so different from what my doctor wants me to do. I have to have 6 cans of slim fast a day, I can have sugar free jello, crystal light, warter. I am going to scream I am three days into it and I am sooooooo hungry. I hope I loose the weight they need me to loose before the surgery on Jan 8. I just need to stop thinking about it and just stick with it. It is sooooooo worth it at the end.

Hi Gina! I had my surgery January 13th & i had the exact same problem with my back. My doctor prescribed me vicodin & muscle relaxers & said my insides were inflamed. I used a heat pad most of the day it helped alot! It eventually went away. So how are you doing on weight loss so far?

Gina you are doing well . After you lose a large amount it will slow down that 2 to 3 pounds weekly are good. You don't want to lose it too fast. People I met who lose 200 pounds or more gained that weight back after 3 years. I have not gain or lost any. My doctor told me that my body frame is small top and larger bottoms. Don't get me wrong my husbands loves it but I can't stand it. I want smaller hips. My top is a 14/16, my waist is 12haha and my hips are a 18/20. Yes I have mega curves but i want smaller curves LMAO. Call me I can tell you what I went through. I think you are doing great and the pounds you are losing is healthy pounds. If you can start walking with a IPOD it helps me. I can now walk 8 miles every day in the morning.

Hi Gina, its been awhile since I wrote .. tho, I come here pretty much everyday and read everything that is going on ..I read where you had lost 40lbs..THAT'S GREAT!! .. however, like you, it seems Im consumed about weight loss... my doctor told me that average weight loss is lik 10lbs a month ..I'm 7 weeks and 5 days post op and have lost a total of 53 pounds ... I think I expected more ... =(

Hi Gina, I was feeling back pain a little after my surgery and I put most of that on the fact that I was either sitting or laying down most of the time. It has gotten better. I was allowed last week to start eating semi-solid foods so I have started with scrambled eggs (one egg fills you up and it takes about 50 min - 1 hour to eat). I have also put bananas in my protein shakes, has applesauce, low fat creamed soups (cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, etc) It is difficult for me to try and get in 50 oz of protein plus all the liquid they want you to drink. I did get sick once already and that was a combination of things like I felt really good, so I walked 1 1/2 miles, vacuumed the house and then I was drinking a protein shake too fast. I really felt it afterwards! (So sick). I start back to work on Monday and I am hoping I am ready! Take care and talk to you soon. Kay
