About Me:
Hello, my name is Amy and I had a gastric band in Jan 2009. I have lost 63lb but my weight loss has all of a sudden stopped. I don't know why as nothing has really changed, I had my band adjusted last month but still only lost 4lb since, which is about 5 weeks now. Just wanted to talk to people who have been through the same thing really :)

Hi Amy,

Yes i have lost a good amount of weight however i still struggle with my food demons and want to keep on track to ensure that i don't slip back into my old unhealthy habits! I also felt i would be able to help people along their journey.

Hi Amy! My surgery went very well, in fact, I return to work Tomorrow! after 2 weeks of post-op recovery (with one of those weeks being "work from home"). I have a blog where I go into alot of detail - www.tivoanxietey.blogspot.com . I'm down 30 pounds!
How is life in the UK? Can I ask about your healthcare there? What did you have to go through to get the procedure approved and then performed? You probably hav eheard about hourr healthcare sysstem here in the US, and I am very dissapointed in the "have" vs "have not" system. I have always been on the "have" side, but with 45 million folks on the "Have not" side, something has to be done. My Aunt from Canada says that my surgery would have never been approved in Canada, much less have ever happened - when her husband needed open-heart-surgery, his brothers chipped in to have him come to the USA and have the surgery here. I just can't believe we as a human species cannot come to some agreement on this.

OK. enough of my rant. Nice to meet you! Are yo uon the www.thinnertimes.com site? I find alot of good resources there as well - I am "DrStephen". Your befoire/after pics are great!
