Hi, everyone! I have bypass sugery scheduled for Oct. 22, 2008, and have some concerns about sufficient vitamin intake post-surgery and during the months ahead. Also, I want to feel good post-surgery. This product line looks like it addresses all of the possible deficiencies and even hair loss. Though it looks very inticing the price tag is quite steep.
Just wondering whether any of you have ever tried the Bariceuticals product line. Your thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi my name is Dana, I just had my gastric bypass March of this year , and i lost almost 100 pounds, in 5 1/2 months. I hav struggled with taking my vitamins everyday since my surgery , because they dont sit well in my stomach , and the best advice i can give to you is TAKE UR VITAMINS EVERDAY! i hav periodically had to b admitted to the hospital to b pumped full of Banana bags( which is a vitamin bag) and potassium bags! I hav noticed alot of hair loss, im not going bald or anything, but i hav been told its just from losing weight so fast , ur body is in shock, and as long as u eat alot of protein u should b fine ! Please keep me posted on ur progress with ur surgery ! Its sooo exciting , GB is the best thing i ever did ! im really happy with the results ! Im sure u will b also !!! GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!! DANA

Hi!
I'm 5 months out of my GB and have just been taking over-the-counter vitamins. I haven't had a single problem. Some hair loss is unavoidable. Most vitamin companies will tell you that you can avoid hair loss by using their product.....well, it's just not true. Rapid weight loss causes the hair loss not vitamin issues. If I were you I'd follow the vitamin guide that your doc explains and use over the counter until you notice that something is bothering you or just not working for you. Then upgrade. The MOST important thing is to take the vitamins EVERY DAY! You're going to feel weak and tired for the first few weeks regardless....you're healing. So, just follow the docs orders, get lots of rest, drink TONS of water, get moving a bit and make sure to let your doc know if you're having any issues holding down food, water or your vitamins, so you can avoid any problems. Let us know how you're doing!
